Yo no soy un blogger de moda / I'm not a fashion blogger

I'm not a fashion blogger

I don't consider myself a fashion blogger, or an expert on the subject, yet it seems everything falls into place. After spending a lot of time reading, watching and consuming certain information about something in particular, it turns out one starts becoming a little bit into what you are consuming.

For those who know me it's not nothing new that I have become involved in different fields of the creative and aesthetic activity. Step by step I have materialized my anxieties, curiosities and wishes in experiments and projects that evolve and grow each day.

A contemporary art divulgation podcast, a sculpture exhibition, a drawing workshop, poetry compilations, piano music composing, printed media illustrations, scientific research, art direction, are among some of the activities I currently do, with a lot of passion and joy. This blog, that has witnessed my steps through all these activities, is very important po me.

Right now I'm sitting on a cafe emptying these words directly from my head. Thinking, as always, that nothing should stop me in doing what I want. This might sound trivial, but in my experience, very few people actually know what they want to do.

I'm not a fashion blogger, but I'm going to give you my advice if you ever consider being one. Do it!

Don't leave on your head any wish that you have, do it, even if it seems impossible, hard to get or expensive. The key in achieving a project is to be certain about it, and this can't be done by just wandering around. I've been frequently asked how to do this. In a recent talk I listened to the intentions of starting a new business, interesting ideas from a new entrepreneur.

But there was nothing certain, and there won't be I think, if there isn't a research and a written protocol of it, even if it is a very simple one. The bad thing is that there's a continuous avanlanche of ideas and upcoming projects but nothing gets concluded thanks to the bad mokd of this entrepreneur. So, in my opinion, when you have an idea, write down at least a paragraph describing the basics of it. Then do a list of anything that you might need and the time required to accomplish it. Finally, do a little essay about it that would let you consider the pros and cons of this activity. If by this moment the idea has lost its appeal then you know it wasn't a good idea to begin with. If this happens, don't worry, you will have achieved something priceless, you will have gotten to know you a little bit better.

I have seen self improvement videos that teach you that in order to materialize your projects you need to believe in them first. I couldn't disagree more with this thought, if it means that believing in them is just convincing yourself that you want them. I think the success of any endeavour, no matter what, lies in the capacity the new entrepreneur has in knowing himself.

This can be achieved by making the idea a reality and experimenting in person the activities one wishes to pursue. I'm not sure if this is clear enough, but I'll try to explain it more through different texts. Don't hesitate to write me if you have any comment, doubt or opinion. I'll happily say goodbye now, preparing a post that I'll publish in a few days about an exercise I've been preparing for months now. It will see the day of light in this very meeting place called "el rastro" and I'm thrilled about it.
